With the privacy and security settings, you can set privacy and security-relevant settings for the application, which can prevent malicious software from spreading to your systems that might be within an email.
Determines whether remote content in HTML emails, e.g. images, scripts etc. should be automatically loaded when viewing an email.
Block remote content in HTML messages
By enabling this option, the email viewer does not automatically load remote content in HTML emails from the Internet, and must be manually loaded by user interaction when viewing an email. However, loading remote content may be restricted by user rights set by the administrator.
We strongly recommend that this option is always enabled, as there may be malicious software in the remote content that could find the way to your systems.
Never block for these email addresses and domains
By enabling this option, you can allow certain email addresses and Internet addresses (domain names) for loading remote content, so that remote content from the specified email addresses and/or internet addresses is automatically downloaded from the internet, even if the option "Block remote content in HTML messages" is enabled.
You should enter only such email addresses as well as Internet addresses here, which are absolutely trustworthy, although you should also note here that the sender address of an mail can be relatively easily forged.
Remote Content Restrictions
Determines that remote content of emails of certain email addresses and/or internet addresses can not be loaded in general. This allows you to exclude untrustworthy email addresses and/or internet addresses.
Please note that a restriction always has priority. Even if an email address and/or internet address entered here is not blocked in the section "Never block for these email addresses and domains", remote content for an email is not loaded.
Enable remote content restrictions
Enabling this option allows you to add email addresses and/or internet addresses, for which no remote content can be loaded.
URL Navigation
Determines whether a link is to be forwarded directly to the relevant website by clicking on it or whether a security prompt should be made in advance.
Prompt before navigating to an URL
Enabling this option requires the user to confirm whether or not to redirect to the Internet address of a clicked link. For security reasons, this security prompt also includes the complete website address that should be opened in the browser.
We recommend that this option is always enabled, as the user's system may infect with malicious software by visiting a dangerous website.
Never prompt for these URLs
By enabling this option, you can generally exclude specific internet addresses from the security prompts so that they are opened directly in the browser by clicking on it without a security prompt.
You should enter only such internet addresses here and thus exclude from the security prompts, which are absolutely trustworthy.
URL Navigation Restrictions
Determines that certain internet addresses can not be opened. This allows you to exclude untrustworthy internet addresses.
Please note that a restriction always has priority. Even if an internet address entered here is in the section "Never prompt for these URLs", the website cannot be opened from the email viewer.

Email Attachments Handling

Prompt before opening a file attachment
By enabling this option, the user must confirm whether the selected file attachment should be opened or executed. For security reasons, this security prompt also includes the full file name.
We strongly recommend that this option is always enabled, as there may be malicious software in file attachments that might find the way to your systems.
Never prompt for these file extensions
By enabling this option, you can exclude certain file extensions from the security prompts so that corresponding file attachments with the specified extension are generally opened or executed without a security prompt.
You should only enter such file extensions here and thus exclude from the security prompts, which are absolutely safe.
