With the help of the MailShelf Discovery Service, you can make a MailShelf multi-user environment installation easily visible to other MailShelf clients over the network, so that it is displayed to the clients in the Getting Started Wizard where users can easily select it in order to connect to it.


Service Status

Displays the current status of the MailShelf Discovery Service which runs in the background as a Windows Service.


Service Control

Allows you to manage the MailShelf Discovery Service which runs in the background as a Windows Service.


Start

Starts MailShelf Discovery Service so that other MailShelf clients can connect to the MailShelf installation using the Getting Started Wizard over the network. MailShelf Discovery Service uses port 63888 for network communication. Please make sure that access to port 63888 is not blocked for other clients on the network. You may need to add an exception for port 63888 in your firewall software.


Stop

Stops MailShelf Discovery Service so that other MailShelf clients on the network can no longer connect fully automatically using MailShelf Discovery Service therefore, each client must manually connect to the installation.


Restart

Restarts MailShelf Discovery Service


Log Files

Opens in Windows Explorer the path where all MailShelf Discovery Service relevant log files are located. These can be useful for error analysis.
