In the in the multi-user environment, MailShelf Server provides you the possibility to add client access licenses with which you can increase the maximum number of possible MailShelf user accounts individually and as required.
Additional client access licenses can be added at any time. For more information about client access licenses, click here.
License Overview
The license overview shows you all currently available client access licenses for your MailShelf Server installation. Your actual MailShelf Server product key already contains a certain number of allowed users, which is also displayed here.
Product Name
Displays the product name of the corresponding client access license, e.g. MailShelf Server, MailShelf CAL, or MailShelf Pro.
Product Key
Displays the product key of the corresponding client access license.
Users
Displays the number of allowed users of the corresponding client access license.
A right-click on the license overview opens a context menu, which offers you further options:
Add Client Access License
Opens a new window where you can enter the product key of a client access license to add it to your installation.
Please note that a newly added client access license does not replace an existing client access license, but is additionally added, thus extending the maximum number of allowed users.
For example, if a client access license with up to 10 allowed users is already available and another client access license with up to 25 allowed users is added, the end result is a user limit of 35 allowed users.
There is no restriction as to the number of client access licenses. Thus an unlimited number of client access licenses can be added to a MailShelf server installation.
Remove Client Access License
Allows you to remove the selected client access license(s) from your installation.
However, client access licenses can not be removed if more users than licenses are available. In such a case, the appropriate number of users must first be deleted before the corresponding client access license can be removed.
