The window for adding and editing a user is constructed in tabs which allows an easy and fast user management.


General

On the General tab, you can manage general and essential information about the user.


User name

Enter the user name, which is the name with which the user will log in to MailShelf.


Full name

If necessary, enter the full name of the user. The full name is not used to log in to MailShelf and may differ from the user name.


Description

If necessary, enter a description for the user.


Password

Enter the password for the user account with which the user will log in to MailShelf.


Confirm Password

For security reasons, you must re-enter the password for the user account.


User must change password at next log on

Specifies that the user must change the password for the user account on at next logon and the previous one is therefore no longer valid and can not be used for further logons.


User cannot change password

Specifies that the user will not be able to change the user account password. A modification of the user account password must therefore be carried out manually by an administrator.


User is administrator

Specifies that the user is an administrator with unrestricted rights.


Account is disabled

Specifies that the user account is disabled and can not be used for logons.


Assignments

In the Assignments tab, the user can be granted profile and archive assignments on which this access should be obtained. This tab is not available to administrators, since they already have full rights.


Profiles

Select the profiles on which the user should be granted access. You can only select profiles that have already been created in the Profiles section.


Archives

Select the archives on which the user should be granted access. You can only select archives that already exist in the entire archive.


Privileges

In the Privileges tab, the user can be assigned the desired application rights so that you can control exactly how the user is authorized and what is not. This tab is not available to administrators, since they already have full rights.


Privilege

Describes the internal application name of the corresponding privilege.
