The Web Form Generator easily allows you to create web based subscription/unsubscription forms that can be used on your web server.

Select Distribution List

Select the mailing list for which you want to create a web form. You can select any mailing list that you have created in the section "Manage Lists". If there is no list available for selection, you have to create a mailing list at first. Please note that a valid POP3 account must already been selected for the selected mailing list otherwise, no web form can be created. If no POP3 profile has been selected for the mailing list, please go to "Manage Subscriptions" to select one.

Application Framework

Allows you to select the application framework for the web form. You can choose between PHP, ASP.NET 2.0 as well as ASP.NET 4.0. You should select that framework that is supported by your web server e.g., a Linux based web server normally supports PHP but a Windows based web server normally supports ASP.NET 2.0 and/or ASP.NET 4.0. Please contact your server administrator if you do not know which framework is supported by your web server.

Type of Form

Allows you to select the kind of web form that should be created.

Subscription Form

Allows you to create a web form where the user can subscribe for the newsletter.

Unsubscription Form

Allows you to create a web form where the user can cancel its newsletter subscription.

Subscription and Unsubscription Form

Allows you to create both a web form where the user can subscribe for the newsletter as well as a web form where the user can cancel its newsletter subscription (2 in 1).

Subscribe Button Text

Allows you to enter the text of the button of the web form where the user clicks to confirm its request.

Unsubscribe Button Text

Allows you to enter the text of the button of the web form where the user clicks to confirm its request.

Opt-in Email

Allows you to select if a confirmation of the user is required to subscribe to the newsletter/to cancel its newsletter subscription. Selecting "Unconfirmed opt-in" means that the user can simply enter its email address and hitting the submit button in order to get subscribed/unsubscribed. This way no confirmation from the user is required in order to subscribe the user to the mailing list or to cancel its subscriptions. This method is the fastest method but also a quite unreliable one because every internet user can enter every email address here even if it isn't a right one.

Selecting "Confirmed opt-in" means that the user get a confirmation email where a confirmation link to confirm the request is included. No action will be executed if the user doesn't click the confirmation link. This way you only get real email addresses from real users that really want receive your newsletter and also pretends that email addresses will be abused.

After selecting your preferences, click the "OK" button to select the location where you want to save the created web form. After the web form is created, you can simply upload it to your web server.
