This menu opens a sub menu when pointing on it that allows you to back up or to recover your application settings/database. It is highly recommended that you back up your application settings/database regularly to pretend a loss of data.
Backup
Displays a new window that allows you to back up your application settings/database.
Please click on "Browse" to select the desired path where your backup file should be stored. You can secure your backup through file encryption by simply entering a password of your choice in the "Password (Optional)" field. When entering a password you have to verify this password by typing it again in the "Verify Password" field. This helps you to pretend that a wrong password is being used. Please remember this password because there is no possibility to recover your backup file if you lost the password.
If you are ready to back up your application settings/database, just click the "Run" button. Depending on the total count of your subscribers in all lists, the backup process can take some time.
When performing a backup, all subscribers, mailing lists, history entries etc. will be backed up so that you can easily restore it at a later time if you need it. This feature makes it also incredibly easy to move with all your data to a new computer.
Recovery
Displays a new window that allows you to restore a previously created backup of your application settings/database.
Please click on "Browse" to select the backup file that should be recovered. If you have entered a password when you created the backup file, you must enter exactly that password in the "Password" field in order to being able to recover the backup file.
If you are ready to recover the backup file, just click the "Run" button. Depending on the subscribers, mailing lists, history entries etc. in that backup file, the recovery process can take some time.
