To export emails to a ZIP archive, you must specify the corresponding information and settings in the export window.
The "Export to ZIP file" window is designed for easy navigation and intuitive operation in several tabs.
Archive location
In the Archive location tab, you define the target archive to be created, which will contain all exported emails.
Archive location
Enter the full path of the ZIP archive in which the selected emails should be exported, or click on "Save as..." to select the desired path.
Archive protection
Allows you to set a password for the ZIP archive to protect it from unauthorized access. Ensure that the password and confirmation match exactly. Note that the password is case-sensitive. Please take care of your password and don't forget it because you won't be able to read the ZIP archive without this password.
From below, you can select a method you want to use for data protection:
PKWARE compatible
Select this item if you want to encrypt your ZIP archive with the traditional PKWARE encryption. This is the quickest encryption method among those available but also less secure.
AES 128
Select this item if you want to encrypt your ZIP archive with a key size of 128 bits. Encryption takes longer, but it is more secure method.
AES 256
Select this item if you want to encrypt your ZIP archive with a key size of 256 bits. The longest time to cipher, but it is the most secure method among the options available.
Compression level
Allows you to select the compression level to be used for the ZIP archive. The higher the compression ratio, the less the backup size, however, the backup process may take longer.
None
Select this item if you do not want to compress the ZIP archive.
Default
Select this item if you want to compress the ZIP archive with a good balance of speed and compression efficiency.
Best speed
Select this item if you want to compress the ZIP archive with the fastest available compression level.
Best compression
Select this item if you want to be compress the ZIP archive with the highest available compression level.
Archive comments
Allows you to add comments to the ZIP archive. Comprehensive comments can help you to find the appropriate ZIP archive much faster. You can enter the comments in the yellow text box.
