In the History tab, MailShelf creates history and log entries for each executed archiving task as well as for each executed exporting task, which can be very useful for a further analysis of the corresponding task.

This gives you a complete overview of all performed tasks and in the event of a fault, can help you quickly and easily find the cause of the error.

Date and Archive Selection

Allows you to filter the data to be displayed in the history overview.

Specify date range

Allows you to restrict the date range of the history entries to be displayed, so the results are limited only to those history entries that were created in the specified time period.

Any Date

Determines that all history entries should be displayed regardless of the date.

Today

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed, which were created today.

Yesterday

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed, which were created yesterday.

This Week

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed that have been created within the current week.

Last Week

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed that have been created within the last week.

This Month

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed that have been created within the current month.

Last Month

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed that have been created within the last month.

This Year

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed that have been created within the current year.

Last Year

Determines that only those history entries should be displayed that have been created within the last year.

Custom...

Allows you to use the calendar selection fields to specify a period from-to-time, which determines that only those history entries which have been created in the specified period have to be displayed.

Action selection

Allows you to restrict the type of history entries to be displayed, limiting the results to a specific type.

All Actions

Determines that history entries of all actions are displayed, regardless if they are from archiving tasks or from exporting tasks.

Archiving

Determines that only history entries of executed archiving tasks are displayed.

Exporting

Determines that only history entries of executed exporting tasks are displayed.

Archive selection

Allows you to specify the archive for which the history entries should be displayed. All existing archives are listed in a drop down list from which you can easily select the desired archive. When you select a specific archive, you will only see results that refer explicitly to the selected archive. If you select "All Archives", the results of all existing archives are displayed.

Display Results

Displays the results for the selected options in the history overview.

History overview

Based on your selection in the "Date and Archive Selection" section, the history overview displays the corresponding results. The history overview is structured in several areas so that you can get a proper overview of all history entries.

Profile Name

Displays the name of the profile to which the history entry refers.

Result

Displays the result of the last execution. Possible values ​​are "Successful", which means that the corresponding task has been performed successfully, and "Failed", which means that the corresponding task could not be executed successfully.

Newly Archived

Displays the number of all newly archived emails. If the task was an export task, the value "0" is displayed.

Start Time

Displays the date and time at which the task was performed.

Complete Time

Displays the date and time at which the task was completed.

Machine Name

Displays the name of the computer on which the task was executed.

User Name

Displays the name of the user who executed the task.

By clicking on the right mouse button, a context menu opens, which offers you some additional options:

Open Log

Opens a new window for detailed log view which contains the operation log as well as (if available) the server log. Please note that this log is only available if the "Log operations" option was activated at the time the task was executed. Please make sure that this option is activated if necessary.

Delete from History

Deletes the selected history entries irrevocably from the application database as well as from the history overview.
